Why aluminum, and why Alumawood.
Wood covers in Bakersfield fade, check and need repainting every few years. Alumawood is extruded aluminum with a baked-on wood-grain finish: it does not rust, warp, split or attract termites, and the color is part of the finish rather than a coat on top.
The posts, beams and rafters are sized for your span, so a cover can run the full width of the house or shade a single seating area. Colors and end-cap profiles are chosen at the estimate.

If you want to sit out at two in the afternoon in July, choose solid or insulated: they block the sun completely. Lattice suits a patio you use in the morning and evening, or one that already has some shade from the house. Many homes do best with a combo: solid over the table, lattice over the rest.
Alumawood covers are engineered per project. Spans, post spacing and beam sizes are worked out from the size you want and the snow and wind loads for Kern County, so there is no fixed maximum for a typical backyard.
Yes. We prepare the drawings and paperwork your association asks for and submit them for you. Most Bakersfield tract associations want a site plan, the color, and the manufacturer's spec sheet, all of which we supply.
An attached patio cover in Kern County normally needs a building permit, and we pull it as part of the job. Freestanding structures under a certain size sometimes do not; we tell you which applies to yours at the estimate.
Yes. Solid and insulated covers take fans and lights straight into the roof panel. Tell us at the estimate and we run the electrical chase during the build so nothing has to be opened up later.
